Word & Worship
I lead twice weekly live word & worship sessions (previously called praise and worship or praisemakers). Subscribe to my weekly email list to get the schedule.
"I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.."
Psalm 34:1 NLT
Praise is such a great tool. We are called to praise God, and it is a blessing to us as well as God. We can only have so many thoughts in our head at a time, so let's have praise rather than complaint, fear, etc. Plus, childlike praise silences the enemy. Its effect on the spiritual realm cannot be understated. It is also a gift to each of us, as we set aside other things in life, and focus on praising God for who He is, and what He's done for us, and for loving us, etc. As we learn to catch and redirect our thoughts, we can choose to redirect them to praise!

Worship is a deeper level of connection to God, and choosing praise and His word, helps us get there!

We have the privilege of casting our "cares to God, for he cares about" us (1 Pet. 5:7 NLT). Then we can turn our eyes to Him, and focus on things that are "true", "noble", "right", "pure", "lovely", and "praiseworthy". (Phil 4:8 NIV)

We can do this any time, and throughout our days. It is also nice to have dedicated times to focus on praising God through song and His word. And since we are a part of the body of Christ, it is a gift to do this as a community. It is also a way to build community and build unity in the body of Christ.

I love to lead Praise and Worship Sessions that are a mix of worship songs, and scripture reading. See top of page for schedule. Typically, these session, on zoom, are about 4-6 songs (from YouTube), with scripture reading between each one, usually with a theme, and last about 45-75 minutes. There may be sessions as well that are just scripture focused with an invitation to worship God, and gently guiding you to that, rather than song. People can come and go as needed, so feel free to pop in for a bit, or stay and get the whole theme. you can be on or off video, but seeing faces is a great way to help build community and connection. Everyone will be on mute for worship and scripture reading so that we all can hear. Sometimes we may come off mute to repeat words from scripture or to praise God for something, but this will not be required. On zoom, please do have names displayed (first name is fine). See example session below.

Immediately after sessions, sometimes we do mini mind renewal sessions with a focus verse for the week, just like after laughter sessions. See scripture / mind renewal tab for more information. . Sometimes instead we will have time for individual celebrations of God's goodness shares.
Sample Praise & Worship Session
(Songs linked in description).
This praise and worship session was recorded live, of scripture reading, and relating it all to mind renewal and brain retraining (songs not recorded). We have the choice to be obedient to God, follow His instructions, and choose praise. And to trust that He is fighting our battles as we do that. Jehoshaphat is such a helpful story.
